The Asceni Method
(Essential Moon Cycles, continued)
New:
From the ashes of Balsamic, the small, flickering flame of renewal slowly arises
The Sun and Moon are conjunct at the moment of the New moon, meaning the Sun and Earth are on opposite sides of the Moon.
This is the beginning of a new 29.6-day Cycle. Transiting Sun conjunct the Moon puts the focus on the most personal areas of life. You may pay more attention to your home, feelings, emotions, and close relationships, especially with women. The Sun brings these deeper areas of life, hidden by the Moon, to the surface so that any issues that have been simmering underneath your conscious awareness can be resolved in a positive way. By invoking and evoking the energies of the Will to Be/Will to Initiate, we begin aNew the process of building our lives through our conscious manifestations.
This conjunction is favorable because it brings emotional balance ~ it is not irrationally emotional … nor is it cold and calculating. This is the perfect time for a level-headed approach to those personal issues mentioned, along with psychological self-analysis of your habits and conditioning, as well as choosing your goal/intention for the Cycle.
It is the time in the Cycle you are stimulated to take new action. During this Phase, the new Cycle is being seeded by your vision, inner and outer. You may have an urge to engage in physical activity. This is an opportunity to spend time alone and to visualize your goals for the Cycle ahead. Call on the regenerative and creative energies of Pluto to complement the insights and revelations of the Will to Initiate.
The energy of this Phase can be used to align with intention. It is about self-discovery and new beginnings. A time to get clear on goals and it is helpful to validate those goals throughout the Lunar Cycle with the use of affirmations, mantras, and chants, followed by reflection on what has been accomplished in the previous Quaternary and throughout whatever part of the greater Cycle we’ve completed so far.
Setting intentions can sometimes be challenging, but there are a few things to keep in mind that will make the process easier. It must be something you care deeply about … for example, setting the intention to simply make more money won’t fuel your will power, however saying you want to find a career you are passionate about and enjoy doing will be motivating.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the intention needs to be personal. You cannot set an intention that is outside of yourself, such as wanting a friend to find a loving relationship. It has to be something within your ability to manifest. Lastly, move through the coming Cycle as if your intention already exists. Rather than making statements such as I will or I want to be, using I AM statements transform the way you think and feel.
The energies of the New Phase are often felt in the body as a restless impatience, or as a feeling sense of mentally leaning into the future. Let this energy find outlets in creative ways: move, exercise, dance ~ let the energies find their expression in purposeful movement.
By its very nature, the New Phase is a forward-looking energy. However, every physical body is unique and will experience the energies of the New Phase in its own way. When journaling, make an effort to accurately describe your experience of the energies. These notes will help the group, and especially you, later on as you make the connections between your experiences and what precipitated or manifested as a result/outcome.
The challenge is Commitment.
(A commitment to your intention/goal for the Cycle.)
