Transcendence: The end of the Cycle where you must take care of unfinished business, resolve past karma and come to terms with unresolved issues. The accumulated results of all the previous house activities and experiences. Ghosts from the past, restraints, restrictions, places of confinement, prison, hospitals, asylums, psychological blocks, aloneness, isolation, OR
Freeing yourself from past restrictions, transcending karma through grace, attaining inner peace, rendering compassionate service to humanity. Retreats from the world, monasteries, seclusion, secret affairs, secret societies and mystical associations, institutions in general. Inner realities, Universal visions, introspection, self-examination, fantasies and dreams, sleep patterns, spiritual bliss, OR
Psychological escapism, self-undoing, troubles, worries, sorrow, pain, bereavement, loss and suffering. That aspect of yourself most hidden from conscious awareness and from others, the Shadow.
The house of the experiences that result in subjugation of the ego. Confinement of different sorts. The area of the psyche that is self-sacrificial and even martyred. The deepest realm of imagination, deception, glamour and magical illusion. The inner source of spiritual and artistic inspiration and the place where we hide from the world in confinement, either by choice or force. Prisons or feelings of imprisonment, hospitals or feelings of illness, chronic complaints in health, malfunction of the organism. Lack of identity with the outer self, introspection towards inner life. Escapist activities, religion, charitable institutions and charitable drives. Unfocused consciousness, ego death. Psychic experiences, meditations and finding of bliss. Confusion, addiction, peace and tranquility. Experiences that affect us spiritually and which may shatter our conscious view of the world yet empower us to transcend to a higher spiritual sense of rebirth or resurrection.
A need for seclusion; service to others, such as hospital visiting. Self-sacrifice, often as a result of the partner’s illness. Escapism, the unconscious. May be susceptible to drugs if many planets are here. The house of drawn shades: that which is hidden. The subconscious attitudes that are carried over from the past; house of self-undoing, frustration, limitation and confinement. Also the house of Initiation and ultimate understanding. Service or suffering: with planets in this house, it has to be a choice between the two. House of charity, given or received. Rules hospitals and institutions. House of Karma; the law of cause and effect from which there is no escape without atonement and attunement to that which is above and beyond the law; The Grace of God
