The Asceni Method

(Essential Moon Cycles, continued)

 

Moon Cycles have two major flows of energy:

 

  1. Waxing: From the Crescent Phase through Gibbous, the energies are building to the climax that we experience at Full. In each Phase leading to Full, we are seeking and reaching for expansions of Awareness about how we are in the world and how we are intending to Become.
  2. Waning: From Disseminating through 3rd Quarter, the energies are flowing towards sharing and integration of what we have learned. Then we focus on releasing the old habits and patterns that prevented our growth, and focusing on the freedom this gives us to change. This is the part of the Cycle where we “finish” the Cycle and rest before the next New Phase/Cycle.

Two Phases are neutral in terms of energetic flow:

 

New:

  1. In this Phase we either receive direction from Theos or we collectively choose the issues we intend to address in this Cycle. As individuals, and as a group, we decide what direction our intent to change will take.
  2. This is mainly a Phase of preparation, rather than a purely building Phase. All of the choices and decisions we need to make at the beginning of the Cycle, with respect to our Cycle statement, our New statement, our Totem Friends and their Qualities, as well as any Planets’ characteristics, take time. Theos emphasizes the importance of allowing yourself plenty of time to consider these choices and to make your decisions. This is especially important for new members of the TAM study group.
  3. If you do not take the amount of time needed to properly prepare for the Cycle ahead, you might not find the Cycle as easy and growth-filled as it could have been, had you come to it better prepared.
  4. It is only through our Soul-alignment, morning chant, and any ceremony or ritual we are performing, that we actually begin the initiating action towards manifesting our intention for the Cycle.

Full:

  1. Full is considered as neither waxing nor waning ~ it is a pause in the Cycle.
  2. This is the “moment” in which we stand at the point of reception, open to receive the Illumination ~ and assistance from the Hierarchy ~ which we have been seeking and reaching for in the first four Phases.
  3. During Full we add The Lord’s Prayer, (either the exoteric or Esoteric version), to our Soul-alignment in the morning and at night, as well as any ritual Theos ~ or we ~ has/have devised to help us get the most out of this Cycle.
  4. During lunar eclipses, Theos gives us a channeling with added information and they add steps to our daily rituals to aid in the assimilation of these intense and transformative energies.
